Rhino and The Rugby Trainer have signed a new deal to continue a partnership that first began almost four years ago.
Former Ospreys centre Ben John – aka The Rugby Trainer – is one of rugby’s major influencers, with more than 500k followers across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, sharing advice, skills and tips for players of all ages, and all levels. He’s worked with the very best players and coaches in the game, both men and women, and also runs the Rugby Trainer Academy, helping individuals improve their game with training programmes, practical support and guidance.
Rhino, the world’s No.1 rugby equipment supplier, and match ball provider to Rugby Europe and Asia Rugby, has worked closely with Ben ever since he launched The Rugby Trainer in 2020. “The Rugby Trainer is now one of the most respected coaching brands in the game, and we’re proud to have been part of his incredible journey,” says Dave Reynish, Rhino’s managing director. “We’ve always worked closely with Ben and he continues to play a key role in the development of Rhino products, with some very exciting new products due to be released later this year.”
While Ben while will continue to use Rhino’s class-leading range of rugby equipment, and match, training and specialist balls – including the pioneering recycled range – there will also be new collaboration products launched. Ben said of the partnership: “I’m absolutely thrilled to extend my partnership with Rhino, a team that's been in my corner since the start. I’m buzzing with excitement to develop innovative products with the team that not only help players' performance but also drive their passion for the game. Rhino’s support for the Rugby Trainer Academy and our expanding brand is invaluable as we continue to expand our reach, helping more players to improve their skills and grow the game we love.”
The first new content series will be launched next week, with Ben turning his focus to the all-new Rhino Reflex Recycled half ball. To ensure you don’t miss it, follow Rhino on Instagram via @rhino_sport and The Rugby Trainer @therugbytrainer
