It's a very warm coat for standing on the sidelines watching the sport. That's what I bought it for. The fur lining keeps you very warm and the size means you can throw it over anything. The relative smaller size of the hood keeps your face and neck snug. The pockets are also lined with a really warm felt, but hands and feet mostly stay warm because your core is kept hot. Finding the double zip a bit fiddly and there is a hole in one of the pockets, but both of those things might just be my bad luck in the jacket I got. Nothing to suggest it happens on every one. Otherwise it would be 5 stars.
