RHINO PURE RUGBY SUPPORTS SOUTH AFRICAN SCHOOL IN SAFFRON WALDEN YOUTH TOURNAMENT Rhino Pure Rugby was the kit sponsor of the Umzingisi team drawn from four primary schools in the Nelson Mandela Bay area of Port Elizabeth which triumphed in the recent Saffron Walden Youth Tournament. The team defeated all eight of their opponents and went back to South Africa with medals and a trophy. The side was sponsored and hosted by Saffron Walden County High School and Saffron Walden RFC and their participation was arranged by the charity Touraid  - www.touraid.org - which promotes rugby tours to the UK for children from underprivileged parts of the world. Rhino has a longstanding close relationship with Touraid and was proud to be able to help the Umzingisi boys. Touraid CEO Andy Berry commented: “These boys had the trip of a lifetime and were fantastic ambassadors for their country. We are very grateful to Rhino for their continued support of our activities”. Khanyiso Toyi, aged 13 was quoted in an interview for a local paper on his return: “The weather in London was very cold but I was disappointed not to see snow. We saw buildings that were made of glass and visited the Queen’s Palace, but we didn’t see the Queen”. There’s always next time!
