RHINO SUPPORTS ALGARVE RUGBY FESTIVAL

The Algarve Rugby Festival kicked off at the weekend with a thrilling 25-22 victory for the British Army over Russian club champions Krasny Yar. Rhino have long been a partner of Browns Sport & Leisure Resort which is Europe's leading warm weather rugby training facility and the host to the Festival – the facilities at Browns include a top of the range Rhino Dictator scrum machine and our range of contact equipment. Previous visitors to Browns have included England, Australia and Ireland and it will be attracting a great deal of attention from Rugby World Cup 2015 competing national sides as a pre-tournament preparation venue. The Festival continues with a game between Krasny Yar and Leicester Tigers this Friday.

RHINO PROMINENT AT ALGARVE RUGBY FESTIVAL

Rhino has a longstanding partnership with Browns Sport & Leisure Club in the Algarve, Europe’s foremost warm weather training facility for rugby, and our training equipment at Browns was heavily used by the participants in the recent Algarve Rugby Festival held there, including the Dictator scrum machine which was used by England in France when reaching the 2007 Rugby World Cup Final.

The British Army, CDUL of Portugal, Krany Yar of Russia and London Irish all joined the festival - London Irish defeated the Army 41-17 in the opening game on Saturday April 6th, and the following day Krany Yar defeated CDUL 45-24 before going on to defeat the Army 31-20 on Wednesday 10th. Proprietor Alan Brown expressed himself delighted with the progress of the Festival, which has more games to follow – ‘the games to date have been strongly contested and entertaining and the atmosphere amongst spectators at the games and the live music events afterwards has been tremendous. We are looking forward to building on this next year’.
