Following the regular season of 22 rounds of matches, and ahead of this weekend’s play-off semi-finals, the winners of the Rhino Golden Boot Award for the best goalkicker in the tournament and the Rhino Collision Kings Award for the most improved team at the breakdown were announced this week. JJ Hanrahan of Munster, who had periodically led the table for much of the latter part of the season eventually took the Rhino Golden Boot Award with a magnificent 87.30% record. Connacht captain Craig Clarke received the Rhino Collision Kings Award from Richie Gray, the inventor of the now renowned Rhino Collision King machine which has spawned a whole new range of specialist breakdown equipment, available only from Rhino and used by Connacht and many other leading professional sides.
