Rhino Rugby announced today on the first day of Rugby Expo at Twickenham that they have concluded a wide-ranging tie up with New York based United World Sports, a sports event management company which owns and runs a series of leading rugby events and media properties in the United States, including the renowned Las Vegas Sevens, part of the IRB’s HSBC World Sevens Series, which won the ‘Rugby Event of the Year’ Award at the Rugby Expo Awards Dinner last year.

The agreement will see, amongst other things, Rhino rugby balls used at the Las Vegas Sevens which takes place from January 24th to 26th next year.

Tournament Director Dan Lyle commented: “We are delighted to be working with Rhino and look forward to promoting their whole product range in the Americas – the USA, Canada and Central and Southern America. No other company offers the full range of rugby products from scrummaging machines, contact and training equipment to balls, teamwear and leisurewear and like United World Sports the brand is committed to the highest quality standards”.

Rhino Group CEO Reg Clark commented: “This is probably the most significant deal in Rhino’s history to date. We are very excited for the prospects of rugby in the United States and other American markets, and could not wish for a more professional and dynamic partner to tackle the challenges they present”.
