The Barbarians have announced some of the players for their Summer Tour which will take in games against England at Twickenham on May 26th and the British & Irish Lions in Hong Kong on June 1st. Rhino have been appointed teamwear and apparel supplier to the Barbarians for these games and we are excited to hear the names of some of those who will wear our shirt – outstanding Italian captain and No 8 Sergio Parisse returns to the Baa Baas colours, and is joined by his compatriot Martin Castrogiovanni who makes his debut for the club as do Samoan scrum half scrum-half Kahn Fotuali'i and France number 8 Imanol Harinordoquy. Springbok centre Jacques Fourie, currently playing for Kobe Steel in Japan, is also named in the squad.
Barbarians' team manager Derek Quinnell said: "This year's summer tour is a very important one for our club. It is a great honour to play the Lions as well as England and we are very conscious of the need to invite the strongest possible squad to do justice to two great fixtures. As the weeks go by and national squads are selected and domestic cup and league competitions reach their final stages, we are monitoring who will be available to us. We then decide on the best balance of our squad in all positions and will make further announcements in due course." The Barbarians will be coached by London Wasps' director of rugby David Young.
