Durham University, one of the strongest sides in the BUCS Super Rugby league, have signed a match ball partnership with Rhino.
Durham, who’ve twice topped the league standings, and finished runners-up in the 2022 final, will be using Rhino’s highest-spec match ball, the Rhino Vortex Pro for the forthcoming campaign, while also training with the rugby specialist’s world-leading range of contact equipment.
Simon Culley, head of rugby, Durham University, said: “We are delighted to partner with Rhino. Student rugby is an exciting and ever-developing area in our sport and to have a high-quality brand like Rhino supporting that development is brilliant for the sector. Durham University RFC has a rich tradition in success both on and off the pitch and we aspire to be competing for highest honours, preparing players for professional rugby and giving the very best student rugby experience to as many of our members as possible. This partnership will undoubtedly help support us in those aspirations.”
Keiron Blackburn, general manager, Rhino, said: “Durham are without doubt one of the biggest names in British university rugby, and we’re proud to help them on their rugby journey with both our Rhino Vortex Pro match balls and world-leading contact equipment. The combination is sure to be a winning one, as we both continually look to drive standards.”
Rhino’s ball range is one of the most extensive in the game, and the Rhino Vortex Pro is designed for international-standard competition. View the full range here.
