Props from across the country are set to lap up the applause of the Twickenham faithful in the first-ever Rhino Prop Star Parade at The Varsity Match in December.

Following the incredible success of this year's Rhino Prop Star competition, which received more than 200 prop nominations, Rhino and The Varsity Match decided it was fitting to reward all of the nominees and have invited them all to Twickenham.

Once at Twickenham, the props will not only get to enjoy the historic clash between the men's and women's sides of Oxford University and Cambridge University, but at half-time during the men's games, they'll get on to the pitch to do a lap of honour while no doubt receiving a standing ovation from the crowd.

Rochelle Clark, England's record-breaking prop icon, will also be on the pitch to salute the prop heroes of grassroots rugby.

"We've been inundated with wonderful props being nominated by their clubs this year, so we felt we should do something for every prop and not just the three that make the shortlist," said Reg Clark, CEO, Rhino. "Inviting them to receive some richly deserved adulation from the Twickenham faithful was the perfect solution."

Jeremy Macklin, of The Varsity Match, added: Both Oxford and Cambridge University rugby clubs recognise the vital role of volunteers at amateur clubs, so we are delighted to welcome the Rhino Prop Star nominees to Twickenham in recognition of their great efforts at their individual clubs. We hope they have a fantastic day at the Varsity Match and wish the finalists every success.”

The shortlist for this year's Prop Star is due to be announced later this month, when voting will also begin to find this year's winner.

While entry for Prop Star is now closed, there are limited spaces for worthy props. If you'd like to put your prop forward, then email us at info@rhinorugby.com
