Rhino received a call over a year ago from Warner Brothers in Los Angeles asking for permission to reproduce the company's logo when filming a 'forthcoming movie about the 1995 Rugby World Cup'. Rhino was Official Supplier of scrummaging machines and contact equipment to that tournament and in particular supplied the pitch kits for the famous final at Ellis Park. We had no reason to refuse, and watched with interest as details of the exact nature of the film became public - its focus on Nelson Madela's role in supporting the Springboks in that tournament , the role of the South African victory in the process of nation building and its naming - 'Invictus'. We were thrilled to be involved no matter how tangentially in this project, and even more so when we received invitations for our staff to attend the UK Premiere of Invictus at the Odeon Leicester Square on Sunday 31st January. Walking down the red carpet at the same time as Clint Eastwood, Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon and listening to their comments on the making of the film beforehand was a real privilege. As for the movie - it's a 'must see' and not only for all rugby fans!
